If you wish to attend any of the above courses please enter your name and phone number on the appropriate form at the rooms on Wednesdays or Fridays between 2.00 and 4.00pm or phone 689 1040 on Tuesdays between 1.30 and 4.00pm. If these times are not suitable then please phone me at 689 2807.
The timetable for this next quarter contains some changes. The first one is that we will be holding a WORKSHOP each month. Two will teach the making of Greeting Cards and one on how to make an 8 page booklet. Great skills if you are a newsletter editor but even better news is that to make the cards and booklet all you need in the way of programs is Microsoft Word. Both workshops will use paper size A5.
Also this timetable has most of the tutors listed, but very few assistants. If you would like to help by assisting a tutor please contact one of the committee. We promise you will not be 'thrown in the deep end' and you you will find just how rewarding tutoring can be.
Some of the courses are listed as 'If required' which just means that if there is a request for one of those courses we will organise a time to suit.
The Committee has decided to introduce Club Days every two months, more information nearer the time. These days will have a social element as well as informing members on different aspects of computer education.
Finally, please take advantage of the courses on offer to help you to become more proficient with your computer and thus more confident in using it for more than just receiving and sending email. Maybe you can teach your grandchildren something new!
Happy computing, John P. Keenan
